When it comes to managing your crypto securely, flexibility and compatibility matter. The SmartCard HAT brings hardware-backed authentication to your Raspberry Pi in a compact, easy-to-integrate form. Whether you’re working with full-sized cards, SIM-sized cards, or both, this HAT delivers reliable performance with CCID/PCSC compatibility.
Built around the SEC1210UR2/SEC1210URT serial interface, the HAT communicates over UART through the standard Raspberry Pi GPIO header. Power is provided via the onboard USB-C socket, keeping your setup simple and streamlined.
Choose from three models to fit your needs: a full-sized card version, a SIM-sized card version, or a dual-slot option (with only one slot active at a time). This makes it a versatile solution for developers and enthusiasts experimenting with different card formats.
The HAT integrates seamlessly with SeedSigner through a custom fork, enabling Satochip functionality directly from your Pi. It’s fully compatible with both retail SeedKeeper cards and self-flashed applets on supported Javacards, giving you complete control over your backup and authentication strategy.
