ZeroCam for Raspberry Pi

The ZeroCam is the camera module that lets a Raspberry Pi Zero read QR codes — the core input/output method used by SeedSigner and similar air-gapped signing devices. If you’re building your own SeedSigner or XmrSigner from individual components, this is the camera that scans PSBTs, addresses, and seed QR codes without your device ever touching the internet.

Built around the 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor, the ZeroCam is small enough to fit inside a compact enclosure (just 60mm × 11.5mm × 5mm) while still delivering a wide 65° field of view — enough to reliably scan a QR code held up to a phone or laptop screen. It plugs directly into the Raspberry Pi Zero’s camera connector (compatible with Zero V1.3, Zero W, and Zero WH), with no additional adapters or soldering required.

Pair it with a Raspberry Pi Zero, a small display, and the SeedSigner software to build your own fully open-source, offline signing device for Bitcoin or Monero.
